CONTEMPORARY MILL VALLEY LANDSCAPE AND FRONT ENTRANCE SCREENING

Project Overview:
This modern Mill Valley landscape is comprised of several board-formed concrete planters and walls, framed by warm tones of horizontal cedar fencing, and a stunning arbor/overhead structure that provides wind protection when sitting in front of the fire pit and built-in grill. The plantings provide a variety of interesting leaf textures and colors that tie it all together, chosen to withstand the windy conditions typical in this southern Marin location and all have low-water needs. These photos taken just one month after planting. Architect Barry Peterson, Studio 300a conceived and designed the exquisite concrete hardscape elements and fireplace with a great pergola design that provides shelter from the wind.
