​Project Overview:
The removal of the dense and overgrown shrubs provide more outdoor living space for dining and entertaining for the homeowners' enjoyment. And now with site-appropriate plants and no lawn there is less maintenance and a lower water bill. Full color Blue stone for the patio areas and stairways.  Small Mexican pebbles replace the lawn and open areas resulting in spacious  and contemporary transformation. A variety of low-water plants including succulents offer a tapestry of beautiful plant combinations that are low-maintenance offering year-round appeal and interest throughout the seasons.

Design Details:

• Creation of garden rooms for various outdoor activities to include lounging furniture, firepit sitting area and large table and chairs for dining under a rustic pergola
• low-voltage pathway and accent garden lights for the large trees
• existing traditional water feature surrounded by low-water, colorful plants and succulents
• lawn replaced with planting beds and gravel areas = lower water bills
• large grasses edge stairways, a combination of drought tolerant, low maintenance plant for the sunny and shady areas
